Rover the Beanie Buddy, introduced in 1996, is a rough-and-"red"-y dog. The tag reads "Rover the Beanie Baby was the first nonbreed dog ... this red color sets him apart." (The Beanie Buddy is a larger version of the Beanie Baby.) He has plastic eyes and nose, napped fabric on his paws and ears, and 100 percent Tylon fur--a Ty Inc. exclusive manmade fabric that has the most luxurious feel you'll ever find on a plush toy. Inside he's made of polyester fiber and PE pellets in a cloth bag. Rover makes a wonderful toy or addition to a collection. Surface wash only. --Peggy Etra |
