Review #1: So Cute!!!!! 2006-11-04 This is the cutest toy..... All children should own one because teddy is so warm and loving.
Review #2: a classic 2006-10-07 I was going to buy my childern ( 3 and 1 1/2 ) the T J Bearytales for christmas until i came upon Teddy Ruxpin. I like the fact that T J Bearytales moves his arms and legs and ears, but i didn't like his voice at all. As a little girl i remember going to bed at night with my teddy ruxpin and listening to him sing lullibes and i loved it. Teddy ruxpin is so soothing at bed time and yet during the day when he is reading storys he is so exciting. Plus i also love the characters it helps with childrens imagination. I will gladly spend $70 on this classic!
Review #3: Can't compete with TJ 2006-09-28 As a little girl, I remember Teddy Ruxpin fondly. I owned him as well as the Cricket and Corky talking dolls. But looking at today's market, Teddy Ruxpin just can't compete. TJ Bearytales is far more advanced and is much cheaper. TJ gestures with his arms in addition to reading the story and the animations of the face are much better. And you can't beat TJ's built in backpack that can hold your extra cartridges! With a toddler, I am always a fan of self-storing toys! I also happen to think TJ is much cuter. I have played with TJ in stores, and I plan to get one for my soon-to-be 2yo son for his birthday. At least consider TJ before sinking $70 into this one!
Review #4: $70? you got to be kidding me! 2006-09-11 I was very excited to see Teddy coming back, he was so cool in the 80s. Unfortunately, he just doesn't measure up to today's toys. I wanted to expose my daughter to reading, but Teddy comes with two books, one in color with pictures and no words, one in black and white with the words. Kate has no interest in the black and white version - how is this going to help her learn to read? Also, volume is very low and he's a lot smaller than he used to be - NOT a good value!!!
Review #5: Teddy Ruxpin 2006-08-04 1985 He's #1 toy that year. He tell storys. He sing songs. He is an illiop.
